The loops are the simplest way to join. The main loop of each day is five miles, and has the most variety.
Remember, there are tons of unlisted stops along the way - neighbors, music, art, , history, surprises!

Sunday:
8:00AM: Start - Music Box Stairs, Laurel and Hardy Park, adjacent to 925 Vendome Street
•This cinematically historic stairway is our start for Day II of the Big Parade 2011.
•Transit: Metro Bus 2 and Metro Bus 4 stop at Sunset/Parkman, two blocks away.
9:00 AM - Main Loop Begins, Silverlake, 4.0 Miles, Meet: La Mill Coffee, 1636 Silverlake Blvd.
•Silverlake architecture, history - including the remnants of the old Los Angeles mass transit system - and one of the most lovely stairways in the city.
11:30 AM - Lunch and Music at the Silverlake Recreation Center, 1850 W Silverlake Drive
•Live Music.
•Main Loop Ends.
•Join or continue through West Silverlake.
2:00 PM - Franklin Hills, 14 stairways in two miles. Meet: Casita del Campo Restaurant, 1920 Hyperion Avenue
•The classic Big Parade practice route.
•Lots of stairs, not a lot of miles.
3:30 PM - Los Feliz Heights to Griffith Observatory, 2.4m, Meet; Coffee Bean & Tear Leaf, 2081 Hillhurst Ave at Ambrose
•Town and country; Frank Lloyd Wright; Hiking to the famous Griffith Park Observatory (return via Observatory Shuttle.
5:00 PM - Griffith Observatory. Cross-country push to Hollywood Sign - about three miles - begins here. A park naturalist will accompany us.
7:30 PM, FINISH at the Hollywood Sign, just in time for sunset. (Several return options; we’ll decide as a group when we’re finished taking pictures!)
